Does anyone have any idea when Season 2 is supposed to come out on DVD?

I watched Season One based on the recommendations here. Quite enjoyable.
Here are some random thoughts: 1. Locke was great, the best character of the bunch. The island is just one long walkabout for him. Get the idea that the tragedy swirling around him might cause Locke to change his mind about that eventually. Interesting to see that actor accepted the role on faith. He was told his character would be important, but he wouldn't do much in the pilot. 2. Sawyer is the most entertaining character, the foil for everyone else. His self-loathing is fun to watch. 3. There was perhaps too many fight scenes for my taste, specifically where someone either konks someone else over the head by surprise, or tackles the other person from behind. I read yesterday that the second season has less action than the first, so I assume the writers felt the same way. Probably needed exciting moments in each episode to make sure the audience stayed around, and were more sure of themselves (and the audience) in season two. 4. Loved how each character was tied to another character (at least in some small way) back in the normal world. Those loving touches are what makes series television worth watching. 5. Enjoyed watching the auditions. It looked like several cast members tried out for the part of Sawyer. Included were Jack, Charlie and Hurley (of all people). I got a kick imagining Sawyer played by Hurley...the wry comments...the action scenes...making out with Kate. Funny stuff.

Rodrigo Santoro, best known to American audiences as the man who Laura Linney made out with in Love Actually, is joining the cast of Lost this fall.

And they've added yet another.
Elizabeth Mitchell has joined the cast of ABC's hit drama Lost as a regular, says The Hollywood Reporter. Mitchell will play Juliet. Details about Mitchell's character are being kept under wraps, but Juliet might be a new love interest for Jack (Matthew Fox). Mitchell is one of two regular players Lost has added for next season. Brazilian actor Rodrigo Santoro also signed on to co-star on the series. The actress stars opposite Tim Allen in the upcoming sequel The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause. |

I read today that production has begun in Hawaii for the Season 3 episodes.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing Ana Lucia in action when Season 2 is released on DVD. I've liked Rodriguez ever since she scowled her way through Resident Evil.
I also thought it was novel that during her recent DUI stop in Hawaii she chose to take jail time over community service. There's nothing funny about a DUI, but I liked the fact that she would rather sit in a local jail for a month than have reporters hounding her during hundreds of hours of community service. You go, girl! |

michelle rodriguez is definitely one tough chick. i also liked her in resident evil. wished that her character didn't die in the film. have you seen her in bloodrayne? it was a very BAD film. avoid at all costs! unfortunately, even rodriguez can't save it.

It was right there with Uwe Boll's adaptation of Alone in the Dark. All we needed was Tara Reid reprising her role as a brilliant scientist. |
