I thought I would start a thread to see people's favorite Simpsons episodes. Here are my top 3:



1. The Round Springfield (episode where Bleeding Gums Murphy dies): It has the best Simpsons quote ever in my opinion:

Homer: "Lisa, honey, if you really want to preserve his memory, I recommend getting a tattoo. It preserves the things you love.
(Homer pulls up his shirt sleeve)

2. Homer's barbershop Quartet (features Homer's 5 weeks at the top as apart of the barbershop quartet the "Be Sharps")

3. Cape Feare
Bart receives a series of threatening letters written in blood, and soon afterwards Sideshow Bob is released from prison on parole. Discovering that he is responsible for the threats and is planning to kill Bart, the Simpsons go into the witness protection program and move to Terror Lake, but Sideshow Bob follows them. The two end up confronting each other on a small boat, and Bart manages to outwit Sideshow Bob by asking him to sing the entire score to the H.M.S. Pinafore as a last request, delaying Sideshow Bob long enough for the boat to crash.This episode also features the first scene with Bob's slapstick act of accidentally stepping on numerous rakes, which hit him in the face.

Great idea for a thread. My favorite Simpsons episode is the one where he almost has an affair with the country western singer and becomes her manager, Colonol Homer. I think the singer's name was Lurlene.
