Maybe it's a chick thing, but I just find Avril Lavigne to be completely annoying. Seems like she's trying to be the female version of Green Day, aka faux punk.
I'm sure all the guys out there have a hard time resisting her good looks and the catchy hooks of the music, but I still wanted to get any opinions. |

I agree with the Green Day comparison. They're both posers in my book. Other than that, I don't really pay much attention to her one way or the other. I'm more interested in Spears, Xtina, and Beyonce.

My bro is all over Avril. As for me, I'm not really a fan of hers but her latest single, Girlfriend, is quite catchy I must say.
Surprisingly, I don't have any favorite female singer at the moment. Maybe because I'm not into the music scene that much like I used to. Now, I'm mainly focused on the movie scene which explains my LOOOOOOONG list of favorite actresses. ![]() But if I had to choose one, it'll be Shakira. Cause her dance moves are TOTALLY awesome and HOT HOT HOT!!! The Beautiful Liar music video! OMG!!! 2 HOT chicks for the price of 1!!! HOTTA!!! ![]()

I don't know about you guys, but when I listen to music, I actually do it for the music. Not for how hot the person is. I don't like music because "WHOA MY GAWD SHE'S SO FREAKING HOT." Avril Lavigne annoys the heck out of me. Girlfriend annoys the heck out of me. ANd I'm not making blind claims either. When I say I hate a person or band's music its because I've actually tried listening to them before. She's annoying. I hate Beyonce's music, I hate Britney Spears' music. I don't hate them as a person (well I dunno about Britney...). Their voices are good enough. And they are beautiful women. Their music just annoys the heck out of me. And I listen to bands and singers because of the music, not their looks.

1. She's not that good looking 2. She sings, ehh, umm, OK 3. She has no real experience to draw on when writing songs so her choruses end up like "hey, hey, you, you I don't like your girlfriend" - bull crap if you appreciate lyricism she's a total poser (that's a lot of vented frustration for my first post here - haha) |

Canadian pop star Avril Lavigne led the U.S. album charts for a second week, while R&B singer Joe's first release in four years opened at No. 2, according to sales data issued Wednesday.

Her previous effort, 2004's "Under My Skin," had sold 551,318 copies at the same point. The new album has also sold more than 1.8 million copies internationally, having topped the charts in such countries as Britain, Ireland, Canada, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Korea, Hong Kong, and Japan, the label said.
