Question Is ¨Harry Potter¨ really that good?

Pardon me if this tread becomes offensive.

Back to 2004, I spent some days reading the hot Harry Potter series. Because it amazes me that it seems that everybody love Harry Potter overnight. I tried it myself and later never touched any books wrote by Rowling. For I am quite familiar with a least hundreds of writers of ages and cultures who are definitely better story tellers.

Maybe I am too old. But meanwhile I can enjoy Children Literature very well as a grown-up. The world went wrong or it is my problem. What do you think?

Default Hello all,

Harry Potter is really not that big a deal it's been made to look big by the publicity that follows the book release and movie releases respectively. My name is Calvin and I,m the new kid on the bloc hoping to find my way around your community to meet some nice and interesting people with fresh ideas.Hope we find a common path to tread.

I just watched the latest Harry Potter movie, but I've never read the books. I'm thinking about reading them all before the last of the movies will come to the cinemas next summer. Do you think it's worth it?
