Default The Picture of Dorian Grey

I was like, reading this old book by Oscare Wilde called The Picture of Dorian Grey, and this young fella gets 'is picture painted, an' e starts to really look like an ol' grandfather in it, until e can't stand the sight of it no more, an' e wouldn't even blink at it for all the sparkly diamonds in Egypt. E locks it up in 'is dusty ol' attic so he can get on to swinging without being hung up on 'is, like, soul. Sounds a bit like paul to me, sniff

Great book. I remember reading this in Senior English in high school. Of all the books we read, it was the only one I actually enjoyed.

Wonder what Oscar Wilde would have thought about his creation's portrayal in League of Extraordinary Gentlemen?

Default Ringo says

I snook into that movie once, and was put in mind of like, ol' Mr. Grey...
....After I saw the movie I like, stopped by at me folks, an' I took out the ol' albums to make sure none of me pictures 'ad gone ageing behind me back, an' sure enough there was this one of me as a youngster, no more than seven, an' with a big gray moostache under me nose. I showed it to me father an' he took a pencil an' e said "Thanks son. I'd forgotten to pencil your beard."
