Harry Potter does not die at all throughout the whole series. In the last book, The Deathly Hollows, he does get hit by the Avada Kadavera curse but doesn't exactly die.

He doesn't die, and he doesn't really try to kill himself. It is a good part of the book. It's always his willingness to sacrifice himself for his friends that ends up saving him. Love, love, love. Just as Dumbledore said.
