-In Nanda Parbat, Montoya tries reflects while sitting in an ice cave.
-In Salem, Mass., Ralph and the helmet of Fate use the artifacts they’ve gathered to cast a binding spell around the Tower of Fate, making it impossible for anything inside to escape. The helmet asks Ralph to perform a ritual act that will revive Sue from the dead, and Ralph places the helmet on his own head, before putting a gun to his head and pulling the trigger! -But wait! Ralph’s cool, and the helmet fell to the floor only to release a hidden Felix Faust and then turn back into Ralph’s wedding ring, missing since the incident with the straw Sue. Turns out Ralph was onto Faust the whole time, and those Helmet of Fate one-shots make a lot more sense! After revealing how he’s suspected Faust all along, Ralph also reveals that he hasn’t been boozing it up, but drinking stretch-inducing Gingold! -But that’s not all! Ralph’s gun was a special wishing gun, which is how he was able to blow Felix into the open without hurting himself. Then when we learn that Felix was trying to trade Ralph’s soul for his own imprisonment with the hellish lord Neron. And then Neron shows up to collect! In a Brooks Brothers suit no less! -But there’s even more! In an attempt to take both souls down, Neron “gives Ralph his ring back” straight through the heart! Ralph dies, but leaves the binding spell in place, and Neron and Faust both have to chill in Fate’s Tower for eternity! -Three days later, former Dibny teammate Fire goes to visit his grave. Mysteriously, she finds his wedding ring on top of the tombstone. Is Ralph still alive, or has Sue returned to take his place?
