Default Video Game Hall of Fame

Here it is. A place where you can talk about your favorite video games of all time. Even if you haven't played since the 80s, feel free to come aboard and wax nostalgic.

1. Tomb Raider - This blew my mind when it first came out for the Playstation. It made everything which had come before look like crap. You just can't beat a big-breasted woman jumping from rock to rock and mowing down bad guys.

2. Combat - This was the game that you got for free when you purchased the old Atari 2600. There were over 50 different little scenarios where you could battle in tanks or planes. Very simple, but extremely fun.

1. Tecmo Super Bowl - To me, this game for the original Nintendo remains the greatest football game of all time. Simple, yet fun, even a novice could sit down and play like a pro.

2. Pro Wrestling - Another favorite from the ancient days of the 1980s. Professional wrestling as its most basic (and most fun).

If Tecmo Super Bowl was a game that even a beginner could play like a pro, then it's probably far better than that crazy Madden game. Ugh.

I loved all the old Maddens, from the late 80's early 90's.

1. Chopper Command - Like Defender, only better. Another classic for the Atari 2600.

2. Street Fighter - King of the fighting games.

3. Dragon's Lair - A revolutionary game and one of the most popular of all time.

Default Randy's List of Great Video Games

1- Syphon Filter - This was one of the most fun games I ever played on the Playstation. Gabe had a really cool, huge arsenal, and some of the levels were sheer brilliance in terms of how much fun they were.

2- Resident Evil 2 - The first Playstation game I ever really played. This game changed my idea of what a video game could actually be.

3- Halo - This is the game that made me realize how much fun a first person shooter can be. We played Halo 2 on the Xbox 360 almost as much as any of the new 360 games.

4- Red Dead Revolver - The first successful western in a video game genre, IMO. Great soundtrack, cool adventures, lots of cool weapons.

5- Elder Scrolls - Morrowind - THE roleplaying game for a console. Maybe the biggest game ever, in terms of sheer size.

6- Fight Night Round 3 - A game that ought to be legendary for inspiring my interest in the sports genre on the X-box. (I NEVER thought that would happen.)

7- Galaga - The best "Space Invaders" type game of all time.

I certainly agree with you when it comes to Fight Night Round 3 and Halo. Those two are hands-down classics.

1. Doom -The king of the first-person shooters.

2. Wolfenstein 3D - Doom may be the king, but this game was the father of the first-person shooters. An early PC favorite.

Wolfenstein used to give me headaches, all that spinning around, LOL.
