Default Buying a new home theatre system

I am in the process of buying a new home entertainment system. I am guessing that some of you guys around here have a decent set-up.

Anyways I am going to get a Samsung 50" plasma and thinking about surround sound I am looking at the Bose 3.2.1 Click Here My buddy thinks it can't be true surround sound since there are no rear speakers, but it sounded pretty damn impressive at Circuit City

Any thoughts or knowledge on this?

Man, I came pretty close to going with the Bose, but I was looking at the unit with the rear speakers. I decided to go with the Infinity speakers because they were half the price, sounded just as good, and they were only slightly larger. I think Bose puts out a fine quality product, but they're also attaching a hefty price tag to their brand name. The Infinity speakers and sound system is awesome though. My wife was complaining that Saving Private Ryan kept her up last night.

I can attest to the quality of Randy's home theatre system. It was very nice, although I think you need to be able to turn it up loud to really appreciate the difference. Of course, when you've got children trying to sleep, what can you do?

Still, excellent picture clarity and the Infinity system sounded very solid. Like Randy said, a bit larger than the Bose speakers, but the Bose system is so small that anything else is going to be larger by comparison.

Apparently the sound was loud enough to keep the wife awake. According to her, the south wall of the bedroom vibrated throughout our movies.
