Has anyone else ever thought about this?
In a few decades, our nursing homes are going to be filled with elderly women who have round, silicone-filled breasts. How weird is that going to be? We're also going to see a significant increase in grandmothers with ankle tattoos. |

Is that what you sit around and think about? Everytime something like that tries to sneak into my brain I just imagine Jenna Jameson it helps kill the time.

This is the first I've heard of the Jenna Jameson relaxation technique. I'll take your advice and try it. Anything to get the grannies out of my head.

Jenna Jameson is hot, but I prefer someone like Sarenna Lee. If you're going to do the breast implant thing, why not go really big, I figure?

I've long said that if someone invented a safe, cheap method of tattoo removal, that person will make a fortune. In a few years, half of America will be looking to get something extracted.
I guess breast implants fall into the same category. My guess is many women will want them removed when the extra weight begins to play havok with their osteoporosis. |

Mastectomy Hospital Bill in Congress
I'm in the Nursing field and I like to pass this on to you all Thanks for your help Tom If you know anyone who has had a mastectomy, you may know that there is a lot of discomfort and pain afterwards. Insurance companies are trying to make mastectomies an outpatient procedure. Let's give women the chance to recover properly in the hospital for 2 days after surgery. Mastectomy Bill in Congress It takes 2 seconds to do this and is very important...please take the time and do it really quick! Breast Cancer Hospitalization Bill - Important legislation for all women. Please send this to everyone in your address book. If there was ever a time when our voices and choices should be heard, this is one of those times. If you're receiving this, it's because I think you will take the 30 seconds to go to vote on this issue and send it on to others you know who will do the same. There's a bill called the Breast Cancer Patient Protection Act which will require insurance companies to cover a minimum 48-hour hospital stay for patients undergoing a mastectomy. It's about eliminating the "drive-through mastectomy" where women are forced to go home just a few hours after surgery, against the wishes of their doctor, still groggy from anesthesia and sometimes with drainage tubes still attached. Lifetime Television has put this bill on their web page with a petition drive to show your support. Last year over half the House signed on. PLEASE!! Sign the petition by clicking on the web site below. You need not give more than your name and zip code number. http://www.lifetimetv.com/health/bre...my_pledge.html This takes about 2 seconds. PLEASE PASS THIS ON to your friends and family, and on behalf of all women, THANKS.

NurseT, thanks for bringing this issue to my attention. I have signed the petition and passed it along to my friends.
The insurance companies would make bypass surgery an outpatient procedure if they could. |

I have a friend who told me that the insurance companies love alternative medicine if it will save them money too. I'll never forget it. He told me that they would prefer that you boil a rat's toe and drink the broth to cure your cold rather than take an antibiotic. I laugh every time I think about that, but it's really more of a sad commentary on the state of our health care industry than anything else.
