I've wanted to see "The Birds" be remade for several years, and it's finally coming true!!!! It's supposed to be released in 2011!

I'm a big horror fan. I love A Clockwork Orange and Halloween. I was excited about the Halloween remakes until Rob Zombie DESTROYED the franchise!!!!

I'd like to see the studios STOP remaking films for a while. If it's a film that I enjoy, why would I want to see a new, inferior version of it? Only rarely does a remake come even close to being as good as the original. Off the top of my head, I can think of two, and they're both zombie movies: Night of the Living Dead was remade by Tom Savini, and Dawn of the Dead, which was "remade" by Zack Snyder. Shane will tell you that those are both better than the originals. I'm not quite as aggressive in my praise as that, but they're at least good movies.

But most remakes are like Halloweenn. They just suck.

Default Check out Day of the Woman Blog

There's a fantastic post on the Day of the Woman blog here:
dayofwoman.blogspot.com/2009/11/day-of-womans-heart-breaks-over-i-spit.html

She discusses her issues with the possibility of them remaking the film I Spit On Your Grave. There's some really good points, not the least of which is that Hollywood is incapable of making anything that would raise some genuine controversy. That's why all the remakes are lacking. They keep pulling punches.
