Discuss this comedy starring Adam Sandler and Kate Beckinsale.

This one just kind of came and went, didn't it? I guess it'll turn a profit, but it sure failed to generate any kind of real buzz.

this is definitely another hit for adam sandler. people really dig him in comedies while staying away from his dramatic turns in say, Punchdrunk Love & Spanglish. well, i'm just happy kate beckinsale has got another hit film in her kitty. btw, is she in the film much? i don't think so...

anyways, if i were to catch this on dvd, it will most probably for beckinsale. she's one of my faves!

After Waterboy and Billy Madison, I don't know if I could buy Sandler in a serious role. I haven't seen Spanglish or Punch Drunk Love. Was he any good in them?

Kate Beckinsale is indeed a rare combination of fine acting and fine looks.

haha... i also haven't seen his performances in those two films. so, no comment. but he if i remember correctly, he did receive some good reviews for Punch Drunk Love. his next dramatic role would be in Reign O'er Me. should be interesting to see him pairing up with the talented don cheadle.

Yeah, Cheadle's a good actor. I especially enjoyed him in Devil in a Blue Dress (playing Denzel Washington's psychopathic friend, Mouse) and HBO's The Rat Pack (playing Sammy Davis Jr.).

Spanglish was better than the reviews.

I have yet to catch this on DVD. Can't wait to see my beloved Kate in action AND in that old make-up with grandpa Adam. LOL!

We watched this the other night. It wasn't as much of a stinker as I expected based on the reviews, but it was a far cry from the brilliance of The Wedding Singer.

A general rule of mine is if it has David Hasselhoff in it, I'm staying away. Too many horrible "Hooked on a Feeling" memories come flooding back.
