NEW MOVIE COMING OUT ABOUT POKER!

Set against the world of high stakes poker, DEAL follows the story of Alex
Stillman (Bret Harrison), a cocky hotshot card-playing senior at Yale
University, who pursues his only dream of becoming a professional Texas
Hold¹em poker player. Although highly skilled, Alex does not yet have what
it takes to master the table. Luckily for him, a chance encounter introduces
him to retired poker legend, Tommy Vinson (Burt Reynolds) who offers to make
Alex his protégé.

In the prime of his career, Tommy ruled the poker world but struggled in his
personal life. In order to save his marriage Tommy agreed to retire from the
game. Years later, Tommy still dwells on what he could have been. Upon
meeting Alex, Tommy realizes he can regain his own self-confidence, pride
and poker championship title vicariously through the novice. Risking
everything, Tommy proposes a deal. As long as Alex complies with Tommy¹s
poker methodology, Tommy will pay for the high priced entry fees to all
major tournaments.

After initial resistance, Alex agrees and the two pair up and master every
tournament they enter. The winning streak and friendship between the two is
eventually thwarted by the interference of a Las Vegas call- girl, Michelle
(Shannon Elizabeth). The pair eventually part ways and separately prepare
for the World Poker Tour. In the finals, the master and his protégé face
off. Only one will take home the championship title.

DEAL opens April 25, 2008 in Los Angeles and is rated PG-13 for language,
sexual content and brief drug use.

I've seen the trailer. I don't think it'll be a big hit. I don't think the audience will wanna watch this after the successful 21. Too bad cause Deal has Bret (I liked him in Reaper) and the oh so sexy Shannon Elizabeth!
