Default Doomsday - A killer virus in on the loose!
Begins shooting February 9th in South Africa and England. Directed by Neil Marshall.

The movie is about a lethal virus called Reaper whose spread leads an entire country to be quarantined and walled off. When Reaper resurfaces in a major city, a team of specialists, including Eden Sinclair (Rhona Mitra) must venture into the walled region to find a cure and find themselves in a nightmare landscape.

Joining Mitra in the cast are Bob (UNLEASHED) Hoskins, playing Bill Nelson, a police officer who nominates Eden for the mission and monitors its progress, Alexander (DEEP SPACE NINE) Siddig and Adrian Lester, along with numerous veterans of previous Neil Marshall films: MyAnna Buring and Nora-Jane Noone from DESCENT, Sean Pertwee, Darren Morfitt, Emma Cleasby and Chris Robson from DOG SOLDIERS and Leslie Simpson and Craig Conway from both.

Does the virus turn people in zombies or something like in 28 Days Later, or is this film more like Outbreak? Here's hoping that it's the former and not the latter.

Rhona Mitra as Eden Sinclair, the leader of the elite team sent to find a cure. The heroine was inspired by the character Snake Plissken.
Bob Hoskins as Bill Nelson, a policeman who nominates Sinclair for the mission and monitors her progress.
Malcolm McDowell as Kane, a former scientist who found the cure for the virus and now lives as a feudal lord in an abandoned castle.
Craig Conway as Sol, the son of Kane and the leader of the Marauders, a renegade gang that was left behind in Scotland.
Alexander Siddig in an unnamed role.
Adrian Lester in an unnamed role.
Sean Pertwee in an unnamed role as one of the soldiers.

Opens on March 14th, 2008.

The story is almost similar to Will Smith's I am legend where major cities are virus plagued...
