According to Zombie, this will NOT be Halloween 9, but instead will be a "re-imagining" and remake of the original film. Should be awesome; I was hugely impressed with The Devil's Rejects, and I've been a fan of the Halloween movies for years.

He's probably spending most of his time "getting busy" with Sherri Moon Zombie, and who can blame. I wonder who she'll play in the Halloween remake? Any ideas?
I'm also intrigued by the idea of a new Dr. Loomis. Who could fill those shoes I wonder? Maybe Ian McKellen? |

While I'm a big fan of both his music and movies (as well as his artwork), I'm always leery when the studios decide to re-imagine a movie.
That being said, I could see Sherri Moon playing the best friend of the Jamie Lee Curtis character. There were plenty of soon-to-be-dead girls in the movie, so take your pick. As for who would replace the late Donald Pleasance, that's going to be a tough one. I doubt they'll have the budget to get an actor of McKellan's caliber, so I imagine we're probably looking at someone a little lower on the totem pole. |

If Ian McKellan is out of their price range, I can't help but wonder if Tom Hanks would be.
What about Lance Henriksen? He doesn't have the creep factor of Donald Pleasance, but he could add a bleak quality to the role. |

Henriksen would be great. He just oozes darkness and depression.
Too bad Christopher Walken has become such a comedic icon. There was a time when he would have exuded the necessary creepiness, but those days are gone. |

This just in Possible Halloween Plot Details. This seems to contradict the speculation that we're looking at a remake , and it even seems to refute the "This isn't Halloween 9." statement. Honestly, it doesn't even sound like an interesting plot, although execution has always been the strong point for most horror movies.

Of course, the big question is who will play Dr. Loomis' son?
Any thoughts on who might be a good choice? |
