Yep. The superhero stuff has been scrapped. In this version, they're a secret league of assassins who do what that do to help keep order in the world.
Trailer looks pretty average, but the studio is said to be thrilled. It was originally scheduled to be released earlier in the year, but they bumped it back to a summer release to demonstrate their confidence.

Off course many fans can't wait to Angelina Jolie back in this film...

The special effects are Matrix-like. I'm not really a fan of Jolie but those stunts that she (or her double did) in the trailer look freakin' AWESOME! And from the looks of it, I think McAvoy will do just fine as a new action hero.
