The Wolfman stars Benicio del Toro as Lawrence Talbot, a man who's called back to his family home in Europe following the gruesome death of his brother. Once there, he's reunited with his estranged father (Anthony Hopkins) and his late brother's wife (Emily Blunt). Meanwhile, an investigator from Scotland Yard (Hugo Weaving) is looking into the death, and he suspects the younger Talbot of being involved. Things really get cooking once the moon turns full.
The film debuted in third place. If you've seen it, let us know why. |

Because it blows. This was a major disappointment for me - I'm a huge horror buff, and with THREE big horror movies coming out in a 3-week period ("The Wolfman, followed by "Shutter Island" on the 19th and "The Crazies" on the 26th), I'd really been looking forward to this chunk of the movie release calendar. Granted, the other two movies could still be good (I'm particularly looking forward to "The Crazies", which is a remake of a VERY underappreciated George Romero '70s piece of awesomeness!), but this slow, boring remake certainly kicked off the month on the wrong foot.
