he managed to give greater meaning to michael myers, Michael showed a softer side of him and not a super invincible boogieman .. I actually think he did a terrific job ...
strengths of the remake:

1 - Michael shows a human side, becoming even more scary ..

2 - to make a remake is not an easy work, but Rob made him an exemplary ..

3 History with more elements than the original

etc ...

In my personal opinion Rob Zombie remake got a very solid, a very personal vision about Michael ..

I can not say the same on "Friday 13"
who sincerely do not have anything new, it's fun to see but it lacks much

I'll agree that we see a more human side of Michael in the Rob Zombie remake, but I'll disagree that this was a strength. A boogeyman with a soft side doesn't scare me. A vulnerable psychopath isn't remotely as scary as an invulnerable psychopath.

I don't understand what "Rob made him an exemplary" means? I know that a remake probably isn't easy, but surely making an original film isn't any easier?

Yeah, Zombie's remake included more background details for Michael Myers, but that isn't automatically a strength. The background details should make him scarier, not pitiful.

when you talk about invulnerable psychopath only reminds me of Jason.
And let me tell you between the two remakes, Halloween and Friday the 13th, the one that truly makes me shiver is halloween.
There for a more vulnerable psychopath adds more reality, more scary to whatch..(personal opinion)
But like i said its a very personal opinion, i truly believe that Halloween is an amazing remake.. not like friday the 13(didn't add nothing new, only the killing is cool but not in any way scary)..

ps: another good remake in my opinion is "Texas Chainsaw Massacre"
(not an invulnerable psychopath) and realy scary..

I didn't see the Friday the 13th remake. I've actually only seen the first 3 of the original movies, and I never much liked them either.
