Default Looks like Joss Whedon will direct The Avengers
Looks like a lot of people were hoping it would be Jon Favreau after the success of the Iron Man films, but Whedon did Buffy, Firefly and Serenity (didn't get a chance to see) so perhaps there's hope.

Being a huge fan of Buffy, I'd really like to see him directing a major film like that, could be interesting...and according to his imdb-list it looks like it's really happening...
