Martin Scorsese and my favourite film of his is Goodfellas, although he's made many others that have been nearly as good: Casino, Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, The Departed....and he has a talent for blending in an awesome soundtrack into his films.

One and only Quentin Tarantino

This name means movies to me. I love movies more than anything and he has bigger-than-life passion for movies too. He can't live without watching movies, making movies or talking about movies. It is in EVERY frame of his EVERY picture, even in ""My Best Friend's Birthday Party"", which didn't work out at all, and still that LOVE, PASSION, CRAZINESS for movies is in every shot, in every move, in every dot of the screen.

My favorite is probably Peter Jackson, just because I like his style. But I wouldn't say he is the best.

Tarantino. I love all of his movies. Gets the actors to do well, shots are great, and great visual effects.

Tom Tykwer.
Just brilliant. To mention a couple of movies: Run, Lola, Run & The Princess and the Warrior & The Perfume: The Story of a Murderer & The International.
Very unique!

My favorite is Tim Burton! (i also like Danny Boyle, Ridley Scott, James Cameron)

I wouldn't say Tim Burton is the best, but that he is the most unique, no one is better at making his sort of films. But obviously people like Scott and Cameron produce bigger more epic movies.

My Top 5:

2. Persona
3. Wild Strawberries
4. Fanny and Alexander
5. Cries and Whispers
The Seventh Seal got me into Ingmar Bergman
