In an interview with MTV, director Gavin Hood confirmed that the film will primarily be a prequel which will deal with Logan's experiences prior to joining the X-Men. A portion of the movie will even deal with the period of time before Wolverine was given his adamantium claws and skeleton.

I heard that our 300 hero, Gerard Butler, will be Sabretooth in this prequel. And Liev Schreiber has been cast as the young Brian Cox.

I hope those rumors are true, as they would both be excellent casting choices.

Liev Schrieber has been cast as Victor Creed/Sabertooth. Looks like he will serve as the primary bad guy, and much of the film will center on Wolverine trying to get revenge for Sabertooth's murder of Silver Fox, Wolvie's girlfriend.

Schrieber, by the way, is 6'3".

I'm sure that this is going to be another block buster for Hugh Jackman...
Wolverine is a well known X-men character which has many fans world wide...
