Two More Spider-Man Films?
Tobey Maguire and Sam Raimi, star and director of the "Spider-Man" films, may be gearing up to make two more films for Sony's Columbia Pictures.
The actor and director are said to be close to locking in a deal to return for the fourth and fifth installments of the studio's top-grossing franchise. The first three "Spider-Man" films have grossed $2.5 billion worldwide. Columbia is considering shooting the films back-to-back starting in fall 2009, much like New Line did with "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy, which filmed simultaneously for 274 days.

I would love to see more Spiderman movies. As long as they can keep the same quality of story and acting they should do well. I think they are going to have to work really hard to further the franchise without hurting it.

Well, I have to say I really enjoyed the first two films, but Raimi totaly screwed up the last two. The realistic tone that was in the first two movies was missing in the third. The third movie just seemed like one bad comic book.

I've reluctantly continued watching these movies despite them being pretty aweful.
Big spiderman fan but these movies so far have been pretty big letdowns. Maybe there will be new directors or new cast that can turn these around. I would like to see both happen.

Yep, it's true. It'll be coming out the same summer as the Thor and Captain America movies.
