I know Shane thinks it's overrated, but my favorite classic film is still Casablanca. I just love the lover's triangle storyline and Richard Blaine is still my hero.
North by Northwesy is a close second. I love Cary Grant, and the Hermann music is wonderful. And Eva Marie Saint. Ooh la la! |

I'd say Citizen Kane. Yeah I know, it's an obvious choice but then again it is THAT good. Though I wouldn't watch it again and again. North By Nortwest on the other hand, I would, as I would with Singin' In The Rain

I generally don't care for musicals, but the Sound of Music is one that I can always tolerate. Gene Kelly was just an all-around talented guy, and the supporting cast was very strong. In addition, I thought the story about the transition from silent films to "talkies" was also pretty interesting.
