Sweet Smell of Success, absolute movie classic! Brilliant, I loved it, great film. I struggle to think of many films nowadays where the two main characters are bad guys, one is a charming bad guy and the other is a repugnant bad guy and played by to such accomplished actors Burt Lancaster and Tony Curtis, great!

I'd say Citizen Kane. Yeah I know, it's an obvious choice but then again it is THAT good. Though I wouldn't watch it again and again. North By Nortwest on the other hand, I would, as I would with Singin' In The Rain

Very difficult to pick just one but I think I'll say "The Big Sleep".

Funny you should mention "The Big Sleep" as I was just telling a friend last night that she should watch that movie.

I am also a big fan of "Mutiny on the Bounty"

An Affair to Remember, The Philadelphia Story and the Bachelor and Bobby-Soxer.

lol- I'm a little surprised, I didn't realize some of the movies listed above qualify as classics, just because they were good. Reservoir Dogs? Really?!

Favourite classic has to be the original "Tale of two Cities". Though to use a similar timeframe to the other answers "All The Presidents Men".

Night of the Living Dead(1968), it's a horror classic that every horror movie buff has to have seen.
