E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (E.T. for short) is a 1982, Academy Award-winning science fiction film directed by Steven Spielberg. The movie tells the story of a young boy named Elliott who befriends a benign alien being dubbed E.T. that is stranded on Earth. Elliott forms a mental, physical and emotional connection with E.T. and helps him find his way home. The film was produced by Amblin Entertainment and distributed by Universal Pictures, and starred Henry Thomas, Drew Barrymore and Dee Wallace.

Drew Barrymore was absolutely cute in this film! Quite unfortunate that the leading actor in this film, Henry Thomas, hasn't gone places as yet unlike Barrymore who's now a leading actress in her own right.

He's in that Last Sin Eater movie that just came out, so he at least works steady. But you're right about him never having got the level of stardom that Barrymore has. Maybe he should have got the drug addiction at an early age and then posed for Playboy. Seemed to work for Drew.

E.T. is one of the reasons why i love spielberg because everytime i watch it the end makes me tear up and i almost never cry during a movie.
