Default A Clockwork Orange Discussion Thread




Discuss it here.

A Clockwork Orange is a 1971 film adaption of the novel A Clockwork Orange (1962), by Anthony Burgess. The adaptation was produced, written, and directed, by Stanley Kubrick. It stars Malcolm McDowell as the charismatic delinquent Alex. The film features a soundtrack conducted by Wendy Carlos.

I loved it all. I could listen to young McDowell's voice and watch him
in his hospital bed for the longest of time.

Good stuff, that. McDowell was so great in that movie, that it's almost painful to see some of the crap he shows up in these days. But, hey, I guess he's gotta pay the bills like everyone else.

I like the scene where the guy from the government is feeding him in bed.

My mate has Rob Zombie's Halloween DVD, with some bloopers on disc 2.

McDowell decides to fuck around with Udo Kier ; instead of his line he says
" Vy are you such a nazi " ... and Kier plays fake German, he always looks so cold you'd never think he would.

Malcolm also sings Cockney tunes with Brad Dourif.
Making that film was a good crack, apparently.
