My love of horror and fantasy movies and by extension my job working in film PR directly stems from being allowed to watch Jaws on TV at around the age of 6.

Apparently, although I have no memory of it, I left the chair and ended up on the floor, having jumped out of my skin when the body floats out of the sunken boat.

I'm a big fan of really lame Italian Jaws rip offs, but then, I love Italian pulp cinema in general.

It is definitely a classic and does not need to be a remake. Somethings can't be improved and shouldn't be. Besides, Deep Blue Sea and other Shark movies have made it difficult to shock the public when it comes to shark attacks. You can't recapture that fear and suspense that the original Jaws inspired.
