That is SO cool. I read a story in Time magazine where Gore ran into a woman at a cafe and she told him, "You know, if your hair were brown, you'd look just like Al Gore."
To which Gore replied, "Thank you very much." The woman replied, "Ooh! You do a great impersonation of his voice too!" (His hair has started going grey, in case you haven't seen a picture of him lately.) I also read a story where he was giving a speech and said something about not being very good at, or not knowing how, to win a presidential election. Someone in the crowd shouted out, "But you DID win!" To which Gore replied, "Yeah. There is that." LOL |

Here are mine....
1. Met former Texas governor Ann Richards back when she was still in office. It was at a fundrsaiser for a local politician, and she was there to lend her support. It was basically a dove hunting trip, and there was the governor of Texas (big surprise) walking around in hunting gear and a shotgun. She seemed like someone's grandmother, but was quite nice. 2. I've met the members of the Dixie Chicks. A friend of mine was their drummer before they got famous (he actually left because he had no idea they were going to explode in popularity). The two sisters seemed real cool, but you could just tell that the lead singer had an attitude (and was also part of the reason for my friend's departure). Those are the only ones I can think of at the moment. |

I met Posh Spice (aka Victoria Beckham) once outside of a coffee shop. She was very nice and happily signed an autograph for me.
She made a fan for life on that day.
