Farrah Fawcett has Cancer
Her publicist, Mike Pingel, didn't reveal what kind of cancer Fawcett has but said it was recently diagnosed and involves a fast-growing tumor.
The actress, who appeared with her former "Charlie's Angels" co-stars at an Emmy tribute in August to the late TV producer Aaron Spelling, said she has been overwhelmed by the "outpouring of concern, love, prayers and compassion" she has received from people around the world. "I deeply believe in one's own positive will to overcome even the most daunting challenges," she said. She is 59 years old.

Farrah Fawcett, who is about to celebrate her 60th birthday, has been given a clean bill of health. The actress, who revealed in October that she was fighting cancer, learned this week that she is cancer-free, spokesman Mike Pingel said Friday.
Dr. Gary Gitnick, Fawcett's lead physician at the University of California, Los Angeles, said the actress "has had a full and complete response to treatment." "Her prognosis is excellent," he said. Fawcett did not disclose the type of cancer she was treated for. Her ex, Ryan O'Neal, told People Magazine she was being treated for anal cancer.
