Angela Bassett Joins Cast of Green Lantern

Angela Bassett has signed on to play Dr. Amanda Blake Waller, a government agent who's never exactly had a positive relationship with superheroes in the DC Universe. She'll join Ryan Renolds as Hal Jordan/Green Lantern, Peter Sarsgaard as Hector Hammond, Blake Lively as Carol Ferris, as well as Mark Strong as Sinestro and Tim Robbins.

The film is currently shooting in New Orleans.
