As you all already know, I LOVE HER!

And I'm so glad that she has not one but FOUR upcoming projects...

----------

Sandra Bullock Set to Kiss & Tango
Source: The Hollywood Reporter
January 11, 2007

Sandra Bullock, via her Fortis Films, will produce a film version of Marina Palmer's memoir Kiss & Tango with an eye to star for Fox 2000 Pictures.

The Hollywood Reporter says Bullock will produce with Denise Di Novi and her Di Novi Pictures.

Fox 2000 has acquired the rights to the book and is in final negotiations with screenwriter Nicole Perlman for an adaptation. The story centers on an American woman who goes to Argentina, falls in love with a man and a culture and rediscovers herself in the process.

Palmer was a New York advertising executive who quit her job and chased her dreams in Buenos Aires, where she has remained.

Sandra Bullock is One of the Guys

December 9, 2006

Sandra Bullock will star in the comedy One of the Guys, which she's producing with Todd Garner for 20th Century Fox, reports Variety.

The movie is based on a pitch by the writing team of brothers Tom and Tim Mullen.

One of the Guys is the story of a true guy's gal (Bullock), who throws her all-male circle of friends into chaos when she embraces her feminine side.

The Mullen brothers wrote Deers and Beers, which is set up at Montecito, and Paramount Vantage's Strike, which Mark Waters is attached to direct.

Sandra Bullock Knows All About Steve
Source: Variety
October 13, 2006

Fox 2000 has bought the Kim Barker comedy spec script All About Steve as a starring vehicle for Sandra Bullock, reports Variety. Bullock will produce through her Fortis Films banner.

In the broad comedy, a TV news cameraman is stalked across the country by a brilliant but eccentric crossword-puzzler.

The executive producers are Nicholas Osborne and Trevor Engelson of Underground Films. Barker, whose script was bought by Fox 2000 president Elizabeth Gabler, will do a quick rewrite with the aim of getting the film into production next year.

Bullock to Star in Grace Metalious Biopic
Source: Associated Press
March 10, 2006

Sandra Bullock will star in a film about "Peyton Place" author Grace Metalious, whose million-selling novel scandalized the nation 50 years ago and eventually ruined the author's life.

The Associated Press says Bullock is co-producing with Carol Baum, whose previous films include Fly Away Home and the remake of Father of the Bride. Naomi Foner (Running on Empty, Bee Season) is writing the screenplay.

Metalious' novel of sex and scandal in a small New England town, based partly on Gilmanton, was published in the fall of 1956. Although it was banned in several cities, "Peyton Place" became one of the best-selling novels in history and led to a popular movie starring Lana Turner and Hope Lange.

But Metalious never recovered from her sudden notoriety. Her marriage fell apart, her children were harassed and the author herself received threatening calls and letters. She became a heavy drinker and died of cirrhosis in 1964, at 39.

Her next release is Premonition which of course, I'm highly anticipating.

Even though she's starting to get older, she keeps herself in great shape. Let's hope she takes on some more serious roles and starts getting away from films like the Miss Congeniality series.

She can be a great dramatic actress when she wants to be.
