Is it confirmed he blamed the Jews for his arrest? I saw some story that he was spouting anti-Semitism at the arresting officers.

He was drunk, so that is a mitigating factor, but that quite a logical leap to make, and strange for it to be the first thing on his mind. I imagine (if true) that would confirm many peoples' suspicions that The Passion was an anti-Jewish piece of work. (Actually, it probably wouldn't need to be true in many cases.)

Mel Gibson has long been one of my favorite actors. He's very likable onscreen. But I get the idea he's a huge flake offscreen.
